About this winery
Founded in 1879 by the brothers Eusebio and Raimundo Real de Asua, the Compañia Vinicola del Norte de España is one of the oldest estates in La Rioja. C.V.N.E. is located in Haro, in the traditional wine trade district, next to the train station. In this period when transport was not very advanced, there was a definite advantage in locating your cellar very close to a train station! By 1900, this company had more than 80,000 bottles intended for prolonged aging, which was rare at that time...

Production notes
Garnacha, Tempranillo and Viura grapes are placed in stainless steel tanks. After a few hours of maceration, we use a gravity process (no mechanical press) to obtain a must which ferments for 20-25 days at a controlled temperature. Once the alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is clarified, filtered and ready to be bottled.
Tasting notes
Beautiful salmon pink color. It is an aromatic wine, the nose reveals floral aromas as well as notes of peach, apricot and strawberry and citrus background. Delicious balanced palate, round with a slightly acidic aftertaste and a long fruity finish. Pairings with tapas, fish and seafood
