About this winery
Chateau La Raz Caman benefits from the skill and know-how of 7 generations of winemakers. The estate of 40 hectares (98 acres) is located in Anglade, on the right bank of the Gironde, just across the river from Pauillac, halfway between Blaye and Saint-Ciers sur Gironde. When visiting the Bordeaux or Blaye regions, wander off the beaten track and come and taste our wines: Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, directly from the barrel. Some have been talking about La Raz Caman...

Production notes
The plots are vinified batch by batch, with cold maceration for 4 to 5 days, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation depending on the grape variety. Vatting: 3 to 4 weeks. Malolactic fermentation, half in barrels. Aging: one-third in new oak, one-third in one-year-old barrels, and one-third in two-year-old barrels for 12 to 14 months.
Tasting notes
Dark ruby color. A fairly powerful nose that opens with subtle hints of blackcurrant, cedar, and graphite. This is complemented by subtle aromas of undergrowth. This dry red exhibits good acidity and rather drying tannins. It reveals a full texture that culminates in a lingering finish. Pairs with red meats
