About this winery

For nearly 25 centuries, the Romans discovered the wine qualities of Languedoc-Roussillon, the oldest and largest of French vineyards, but also the most unknown. It was in 2001 that the Hecht & Bannier trading house launched its first vintage. Production notes

Sourced from the coolest areas of the Haute Provence vineyards, where they are rooted in the clay-limestone soils of the Sainte-Victoire mountain range. The grapes are harvested at night between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. to bring in fresh fruit, avoid the risk of oxidation, and better preserve the aromas. Aging: Inert, stainless steel, and concrete vats

Tasting notes

A charming Provençal rosé, preserving its minerality and evoking raspberry, fennel, anise, and violet. The palate is fresh and lively with a spicy edge. Pairs well with lobster, crab, grilled vegetables, and goat cheese.

Roger Voss, August 2022 (Vintage 2021)

With grapes grown in the limestone soil of the Aix-en-Provence vineyards, the wine is lightly mineral and well textured. Its red fruits and touches of pepper are balanced by the freshness of this rounded wine.

This delicate, perfumed wine is balanced, ripe with warm red fruits and a touch of caramel. Lightness and lively crispness offset the rich fruitiness. Drink now. Organic.

Joe Czerwinski, July 2021 (Vintage 2020)

This négociant specializing in the South of France has turned out a solid 2020 Cotes de Provence Rosé. A blend of 60% Grenache, 15% each Cinsault and Syrah and 10% Rolle (Vermentino), it offers up scents of spiced peaches enlivened by hints of lime zest. It's medium-bodied, silky in texture and long and nuanced on the finish

August 2022 (Vintage 2021)

This has a bit more drive and depth than its peers, with rose water, lightly muddled watermelon and white cherry carried by a steely spine. A nice savory note gently infuses the finish. Grenache, Cinsault and Vermentino. Drink now.
