Allen Meadows, August 2023 (Vintage 2021)

derate wood is present on the markedly floral-scented nose of lemon-lime, apple, quinine and a plethora of citrus elements. William Kelley, October 2023 (Vintage 2021)

The most complete wine in the range is the 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé Hors-Classe Tournant de Pouilly, an attractively satiny, seamless wine redolent of toasted nuts, pear, orange oil, youthful reduction and a deft hint of toasty oak. It largely transcends the challenges of the vintage.

Neil Martin, June 2023 (Vintage 2021)

The 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé Tournant de Pouilly 1er Cru was reduced to four barrels this year due to extensive hail damage. It has an attractive bouquet with lemon verbena and crushed chalky scents. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh, quite saline with lemon thyme and light ginger notes towards a finish that has a pleasing directness.
