Beaune 1er Cru Grèves Famille Gagey 2013

There is ample menthol character to the fresh essence of red berry fruit, in particular cherry and raspberry, that is liberally laced with earth and soft spice nuances. There is a silky palate impression to the mid-palate of the delicious and opulent medium-bodied flavors that conclude in an ever-so-slightly edgy finish. Once again the balance isn't ideal but it is by no means fatal.

À propos de Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
