Maison Louis Jadot - Montrachet Grand Cru - 2020

Maison Louis Jadot

Montrachet Grand Cru 2020

This is one of the few wines in the range that displayed any appreciable reduction and here it's enough to mask the nuance of what is clearly ripe fruit. On the palate there is seriously good volume and even better density to the powerful and tautly muscular imposingly scaled flavors that also coat the mouth with dry extract on the markedly dry and hugely long finale. This is also very much built for the longer-term yet it's not so structured that it couldn't be approached after 8 to 10 years of keeping.

À propos de Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
