Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cru Clos des Prouges Domaine J.A. Ferret 2017

More subtle though certainly not invisible oak influence surrounds the mildly exotic array of very ripe white peach, passion fruit, lychee nut and petrol scents. The medium plus weight flavors are rich to the point of opulence before terminating in a sappy, concentrated and citrus zest-inflected finish. This is a big Pouilly-Fuissé that is indisputably generous though it's not particularly refined.

À propos de Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
