Chianti Riserva Vigna del 1928 2019
Light cherry red with bricky rim. So inviting, with aromas of both sweet and sour, vibrant red fruits. The tannins are extremely finely textured, like many layers of paper, the whole is mouth-watering and the fruit is full of life and really vibrant. Mouth-wateringly fresh, the tannins increasing the freshness. Extreme elegance and showing the hard-won balance of old vines. Long, too. Needs even more time to show itself more fully and for the still chewy tannins to meld further but they give the wine harmony and a framework for the fruit. Already delicious but will be even better in a few years.
