Bela Heredad Arano Crianza 2023

- 93 points -

The 2023 Arano was produced exclusively with grapes from Moradillo de Roa, which is also mentioned on the label, grapes from nine-plus hectares in different plots that deliver more complexity and finesse. It fermented in stainless steel and matured in 50% new and 50% used French oak barrels for 15 months. This also shows the warmer and drier character of 2023 compared with the 2024s. It has a deep color and ripeness, concentration and power. Moradillo is a village that is highly prized by the wineries in Ribera del Duero. It has good ripeness, 14.3% alcohol, a PH of 3.62 and 5.3 grams of acidity. It is a fresher and more complete wine than the previous year, but it suffers a little in comparison with the wines from 2024. The soils are whiter and have more limestone, which provide the wine with more elegance. 45,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2025.
