À propos du domaine Domaine de Leos

Le Domaine Leos, 41 hectares, se situe sur la commune de l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, aux portes du Luberon, dans le Vaucluse. Bâti sur un ancien oppidum romain, il faut transformé en ferme agricole à la révolution avec des centaines d’oliviers, des amandiers et des vignes. Aujourd’hui, après une rénovation entière en 2007 grâce au coup de foudre de Patrick Bruel.

Served cold from the ice bucket, this wine initially appeared simple with fruity strawberry bonbon and fresh leafy notes; long, fresh and mineral with a gently phenolic finish. But wow! As the wine warmed up in the glass, all of the floral, rich and creamy notes typical of Bourboulenc filled out the palate, balanced by the freshness of the Rolle and the red fruit of the Grenache, creating an altogether characterful rosé.

Belle couleur jaune pâle très brillante. Le nez est expressif et offre des notes de pêche blanche. L’attaque est franche. La bouche est pleine, volumineuse et offre des touches d’agrumes (pamplemousse, citron jaune). Un très bel équilibre et une grande pureté pour ce vin vivifiant. Accords avec l'apéritif et fruits de mers.

Bottled without added sulfur, the wine comes from a single parcel in the 135 acre Lauduc vineyard. It is still young with black currant freshness and acidity. The wine needs some more time to soften, so drink from 2024.

The classical 2016 Imperial Gran Reserva was produced with a blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo from grapes that were picked between October 10 and 25 with good ripeness, delivering a wine with 14.5% alcohol after fermenting in small oak vats followed by malolactic in concrete and two years in barrel and three in bottle. I was quite surprised, because the wine was quite closed and needed energetic swirling and time in the glass to reveal its true colors. It has more stuffing and finesse than the reserva. 2016 was a very good vintage, with freshness and balance to develop nicely in bottle. The tannins are very fine, and the wine is tasty and long. 50,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2019.
