Product notes

Winemaker Comments: “We are creating an approachable, savory and refreshing style of Chardonnay, sourcing fruit from warmer sites in the Columbia Valley to lend a rich and ripe profile to the wine. Malolactic fermentation, along with sur lie aging, allows for savory characters to develop, while tank fermentation maintains fresh acidity.”– Jeremy Santo, Winemaker

Winemaking notes

The grapes were gently pressed and the juice was cold settled. After racking off the solids, the juice was inoculated and allowed to ferment slowly for approximately 30 days, until dryness. At that point, the juice was chilled to halt the fermentation and stabilize the wine. Aging: Stainless steel for five months.

Tasting notes

Aromas of apple and pear with some honeydew melon, citrus and floral notes. On the palate refreshing yet savory with a fresh fruit driven mid-palate and an elegant, pleasing finish. Pairings with pork rib, seafood and cheese

James Suckling, July 2019

A ripe chardonnay with melon and other tropical fruit in abundance. The palate has a rich and fleshy feel with soft, easygoing fruit all the way. Drink now. Screw cap.

Anthony Mueller, May 2020

Made without the use of oak, the 2018 Naked Chardonnay gives up classic aromas of apple, pear, lemon and soft tones of crème brûlée. Medium-bodied, the wine is clean and correct on the palate, with uncomplicated freshness and a bright citrus finish that lingers with persistence. This is keenly priced and represents a fantastic value for the quality. Grab a bottle for yourself. 5,000 cases produced.
