This is one of the few wines in the range that was firmly reduced and unreadable on the nose. More interesting are the racy and beautifully detailed middleweight flavors that possess an appealing texture that carries over the nicely complex and sneaky long if moderately austere finale. This is a lovely Vosne villages and worth a look.

Neal Martin, Novembre 2022 (Millésime 2021)

The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Village, which comes from two sources, was the sole representative that I tasted from the appellation chez Jadot as none of the Premier Crus were made. It has quite a punchy nose with attractive dark cherry, strawberry and wilted violet scents. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins that frame pretty tart red fruit and a simple but pleasurable finish. It doesn't try to over-achieve and it's all the better for it.

Neal Martin, Décembre 2020 (Millésime 2019)

The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village has a very tight bouquet at first, but that was due to it being pulled from barrel just before my tasting; it coalesces in the glass and gains delineation over 20–30 minutes. The palate is medium-bodied with edgy tannins, a fine bead of acidity and good precision on the finish. This punches above its weight. Recommended.

Allen Meadows, Avril 2021 (Millésime 2019)

An exuberantly spicy nose willingly reveals its aromas of lavender, sandalwood, hoisin and black cherry. The velvety, round and utterly delicious medium-bodied flavors possess a highly seductive mouthfeel that contrasts somewhat with the youthfully austere finish that tightens up as it sits on the palate. This is a fine Vosne villages.

William Kelley, Janvier 2022 (Millésime 2020)

Notes of sweet berry fruit, cassis, spices and plums introduce the 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village (Maison Louis Jadot), a medium to full-bodied, layered and lively wine, with bright acids, powdery tannins and a long, penetrating finish.

Neal Martin, (Millésime 2020)

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village has a delightful, well defined bouquet that has a spring in its step. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy black cherries and cassis fruit, fine acidity and a vivacious finish. Give it 4-5 years in barrel because this is one of Jadot’s best Village Crus.
