About this winery

The vineyard of Château Roubine, which extends over 130 hectares, bordered by a circus of pines and oaks, located in one piece in the heart of the Var between Verdon and the Mediterranean, offers by the great diversity of its thirteen grape varieties, its natural drainage (“roubine” means “stream” in Provençal), its ideal east/west orientation, its clay-limestone soil, the ideal conditions for the production of high quality wines.

Production notes

The vinification of this noble rosé from Provence commands admiration. Harvested at night, the grapes are pressed with a pellicular maceration while the control of low temperatures is essential for fermentation.

Tasting notes

Onion skin color with salmon highlights, it develops herbaceous aromas on the nose (fresh grass, vine flower) with subtle floral (old roses) and citrus notes. The wine stands out with its finesse, its roundness and its volume in the mouth and its attractive freshness. Beautiful aromatic persistence on the finish. Pairings with fish soup, tuna and lamb on the BBQ.

The wine is full and packed with red fruits. Acidity and ripe orange-peel flavors give freshness and an attractive perfume to this blend dominated by Grenache and Cinsault. Drink now.

Roger Voss, January 2022 (Vintage 2021)

The wine is soft and open with rounded red fruits and a touch of caramel. Acidity comes through slowly and surely to give a perfumed aftertaste. Drink now.
