Product notes

The cool terroir, located between 350 and 400 meters above sea level, has large thermal amplitudes day and night.

Production notes

The grapes are destemmed and macerated for 3 weeks in stainless steel vats. The different batches are aged in oak pieces (228 L, 400 L and 600 L) for 18 to 24 months (20% new wood). Blending and the "naked" bottles will age at least 2 years in our cellars before being dressed.

Tasting notes

Color with purplish reflections. A fruity nose (strawberry, blackcurrant, raspberry) associated with leather and undergrowth enhanced by spices. A greedy and complex palate with present tannins. Pairings with lamb with herbs on the grill and vegetable ratatouille.

Joe Czerwinski, April 2019 (Vintage 2014)

A bit lighter and less fruit-forward than the 2015 and 2016, the 2014 Coteaux d'Aix en Provence is the same 60-40 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. From a less impressive vintage, it shows notes of cigar box and cassis, a medium-bodied palate and a silky-textured finish.

January 2022 (Vintage 2016)

Un cabernet-sauvignon/syrah d'une très belle intensité savoureuse. Un vin de matière, finement élevé en barriques, il conjugue la fraîcheur de l'altitude et du millésime. Il vieillira avec grâce dans les vingt ans.
