Product notes

Sourced from K.J. Watson Vineyard in Niagara River.

Production notes

Destemmed and whole berry pressed. 50% fermented in stainless steel and 50% fermented in French oak barrels. Barrel-fermented wine went through full malolactic fermentation, with no malo on the stainless steel portion.

Tasting notes

Notes of peach, mango, and fresh melon greet you on the nose with flower and stone characteristics filling in the background. There’s weight and richness on the palette from the barrel, balanced by beautiful acidity. The finish is bright and refreshing, with excellent length.

Closson Chase The Brock 2021 Chardonnay is a dry, full-bodied, smooth and delicious Chardonnay produced from grapes sourced from The Brock Vineyard, Niagara River wine region. Fresh, elegant and consistently good with fresh pear, apple, lemon zest, minerally and subtle toasty oak spice flavours harmonious with spot on acidity. So good now through to 2025.
