About this winery

It is a story that is written in the plural, over the centuries and according to the appellations. A family story, passionate and in love with the vineyard. The Devillards have been owners for several generations of 4 estates in Burgundy, from North to South, from the Côte de Nuits to the Mâconnais. This offer is unique in Burgundy. Vintage after vintage, it is the same quality requirement and consistency that drives the family and its teams.

Product notes

The wines of the ''Le Renard'' range have been selected by the Devillard family as worthy representatives of the varietal aromas of the Burgundy grape varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Bottling is done at the estate, in Traditional Burgundy bottles. The vines are those of the 3 estates owned by the Devillard family – Château de Chamirey, Domaine de la Ferté and Domaine des Perdrix, all of which are present on our site.

Production notes

Manual harvest, 100% destemming, slow pressing, cold pre-fermentation maceration. Alcoholic fermentation (16-18 days). Aging 10-12 months, 100% in stainless steel tanks.

Tasting notes

Beautiful purple color with purple reflections. The intense nose is clean and of a frame of black fruit (blackberries) with aromas of leather and spices. On the palate, the wine is intense with liveliness. The wine presents a good volume and a nice balance. Pairings with cold cuts, fish and poultry.

Roger Voss, July 2021 (Vintage 2018)

This ripe wine offers broad brush strokes of red fruits and a light texture. It is full bodied, packed with red berries and succulent acidity. The wine is ready to drink.
