The 2018 Givry 1er Cru Servoisine is showing beautifully, offering up aromas of plums, wild berries and burning embers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping palate built around lively acids and velvety tannins. There is an interesting touch of herbal tea to the similar aromas of cassis, poached plum and spice. The caressing and very rich medium weight flavors possess a notably forward mid-palate mouth feel that contrasts moderately with the firmer and ever-so-mildly rustic finale. This is sufficiently structured to reward a few years of aging but it should also be approachable young if that's your preference.
