Product notes

The grapes come from the Agios Panteleimon wine growing area, in the Amyndeon appellation, in Florina, northwest Greece. The high altitude (700 m) and the poor sandy soils of the estate make it possible to produce wines of rare finesse and aromatic character. The four surrounding lakes that act as a buffer zone create perfect weather conditions for growing Xinomavro.

Production notes

The wine is aged for 12 months in 3-year-old French oak barrels, then aged for 12 months in bottle before being released to the market.

Tasting notes

Ruby red color with bronze reflections. On the nose, aromas of cherries, wild strawberries and sweet spices. Complex flavors of red fruits, tomatoes, olives, cinnamon and herbaceous notes on the palate with pronounced acidity that balances with the full body. Long finish. A very elegant Xinomavro, typical of its origin. Pairings with mushroom risotto and grilled meats
