Product notes

This appellation is rather small. The “Drazey” vineyard is located next to Les Sentiers and Les Baudes. The very stony soil is composed of limestone with gravel.

Production notes

The grapes are destemmed; after devatting, the wines are barreled in oak barrels for 18 months

Tasting notes

Very beautiful dark ruby color. Very open and seductive nose, quite classic but complex and “unusual” at the same time. Well balanced mouth with supple tannins, a nice rhythm and a beautiful Côte de Nuits architecture, very lively aromas and a nice minerality. Pairings with sweetbreads and rib of beef

Notes of plums, sweet red berries, exotic spices and peonies preface the 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Drazeys (Domaine Gagey), a medium to full-bodied, bright and vibrant wine, with powdery tannins, a tightly knit core of fruit and a long, sapid finish.
