Saint-Romain is a small village in the Côte de Beaune, located in the extension of the Auxey-Duresses vineyard. Sheltered by spectacular cliffs, the vineyards of Saint-Romain occupy the south-south/east slopes of a steep passage cut into the coast. The soils are made up of limestone marl, in which there are clay banks favorable for white wines.
Aging lasts approximately 15 months on fine lees before preparation for bottling.

The racy, intense and stony lighter weight flavors possess fine delineation on the curiously slightly sweet finish that is suffused with bitter lemon wisps. This isn't unpleasant but it's a bit atypical.
