Product notes

The soils are mainly old silty basalts.

Production notes

Jacques Lardière and Guillaume Large, the winegrowers, together selected the five best barrels (2 new, 2 one-year-old and 1 two-year-old) from our Vignoble Résonance, Yamhill Carlton AVA, from Block 5, an old Pommard planted in 1981 and ungrafted, and they were aged in French oak barrels (cadus) for 19 months.

Tasting notes

Brilliant garnet color with a complex nose of black cherry, blueberry, raspberry, violet blossom, and noble wood essences. On the palate, the wine shows a beautiful structure, powerful energy and perfect harmony with a delicate finish. Pairings with Veal chop and terrine of foie gras.

Josh Raynolds, May 2020 (Vintage 2017)

Deep ruby-red. Intense red and blue fruit, floral and spice qualities on the fragrant nose, along with hints of succulent flowers and musky earth. Sappy and enetrating on the palate, offering juicy black raspberry, mulberry and cherry flavors sweetened by a vanilla flourish. Smooth tannins build slowly, adding shape to a very long, smoke- and spice-laced finish. 30% new French oak.

Erin Brooks, April 2020 (Vintage 2017)

Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2017 Résonance Vineyard Pinot Noir features crushed blueberries, boysenberries and blackberries on the nose with notes of red berries, cinnamon, dried leaves and flowers. The medium-bodied palate is intense and firm with a grainy frame and good freshness, finishing long and fragrant. This will benefit from another year in bottle. About 1,500 cases were produced.

Erin Brooks, April 2020 (Vintage 2015)

Medium ruby, the 2015 Résonance Vineyard Pinot Noir is scented of baked blackberries, blueberry coulis, toasted coconut, autumn leaves and dried violets with hints of earth and a classy framing of sweet spice. It’s medium-bodied and silky with more restraint in the mouth. It has a grainy frame and juicy acidity, finishing long and floral. About 1,500 cases were made.
