About this winery

Dating back to the 17th century, the Scrimaglio (Escrimeaux) family's journey began when they took refuge in Piedmont, leaving their French origins behind. Product notes

In the 80s, Scrimaglio was one of the wineries that firmly believed in the rebirth of Barbera d'Asti, vinifying in accordance with a traditional style in order to respect the varietal characteristics.

Fermentation with skin maceration, followed by malolactic fermentation. Aging: A few months in steel vats

Plump ripe aromas of blueberry, blackberry and cherry preserves accented by dried herbs and pressed violets and roses are found on the nose. The easygoing palate has juicy fruit and fine tannins with bright acidity on the finish.
