Maison Louis Jadot - Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle - 2015

Maison Louis Jadot

Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle 2015

A slightly toasty nose reflects notes of mostly red berries, earth and a discreet floral whiff. The very pretty and wonderfully refined middle weight flavors brim with both minerality and dry extract while the driving, balanced and focused finish exhibits excellent intensity and power. This is a relatively big Petite Chapelle yet it loses none of its typical refinement for it. In a word, terrific. *Sweet Spot, Outstanding

About Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
