Maison Louis Jadot - Marsannay Longeroies - 2017

Maison Louis Jadot

Marsannay Longeroies 2017

A restrained and cool nose only grudgingly reveals its aromas of essence of red and dark cherry, raspberry, violet and moderately overt wood nuances. The sleek and intense middle weight flavors are precise to the point of being chiseled, all wrapped in a youthfully austere, focused and saline-suffused finish. This is a serious Marsannay that will definitely require at least 5 years of bottle age and 10 to 12 to see it at its peak.

About Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
