Chianti Riserva Vigna delle Conchiglie 2019
Mid crimson with a slight sign of brick at the rim. Seductively complex aroma that still highlights the dark fruit but also reveals a stony/minerally quality and the start of a more savoury Chianti character, lightly peppery too. So fragrant and alive. Firm, dry but smooth tannins, no longer chalky but still very fine-grained. Like the Terre di Cresci 2021, this has great freshness and real purity. An elegant, refined Chianti. Persistent, too, with that lovely drily tannic finish
