With grapes grown in the limestone soil of the Aix-en-Provence vineyards, the wine is lightly mineral and well textured. Its red fruits and touches of pepper are balanced by the freshness of this rounded wine.

Pungent aromas of wood and residual fermentation scents make the nose hard to evaluate. More interesting are the dense, powerful and sappy medium-bodied flavors that are tautly muscular and intensely citrusy on the impressively long finish where a touch of warmth slowly emerges. As is usually the case, this is the most 'full-on' wine in the range and while it doesn't offer much refinement, it is impressive in its fashion.

Outstanding

An oaky style, featuring smoky vanilla, clove and resin notes underscored by candied lemon. Bracing acidity ties it all together, and the long finish extends the spice elements. Flamboyant and impressive. Drink now through 2025.

Bright violet. Assertive cherry and blue fruit scents show fine delineation and building floral and exotic spice nuances. Juicy and focused in the mouth, offering pliant boysenberry, cherry, candied lavender and spicecake flavors supported by a vein of smoky minerality. Delivers strong, spicy thrust on the impressively long, floral-driven finish, which is framed by gently gripping tannins.
