Production notes
Hand-picked grapes from selected grape clusters in mid-September. The grapes are partially dried naturally in the dryer, resulting in a weight loss of 40 to 45%. The best grapes, harvested on the upper slopes, are left to dry in the dryer for approximately 5 months. After gentle pressing, the wine ferments in stainless steel vats and ages in new barrels for 14 months, in oak barrels for 2 months, and in bottle for approximately 10 months.
Tasting notes
Saturated ruby red with garnet accents. Superb nose with notes of dried prunes, plums, currants, and dried apricots, with a hint of clove. A tender and fruity attack with opulent aromas of ripe fruit and prunes. Very dense, the tannins still show some grip; the delicate toasted notes blend remarkably with the overall effect. A long, aromatic finish with a slight hint of rose. Pair with blue cheeses and desserts.
