James Suckling

- 95 points -

James Suckling, January 2023 (Vintage 2020)

A red with blackberry, blueberry, chocolate and cedar aromas and flavors. Medium to full body with very fine yet layered tannins and a long, persistent finish. 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc. Beautifully long and intense at the end. Wonderful length. Give it three to four years, but already gorgeous.

James Suckling, May 2022 (Vintage 2021)

A fine and elegant St.-Emilion with silky and velvety yet firm tannins. Pretty core of blue fruit, violets and gravel here. Crushed stones and black licorice, too. Textured and full of energy. Mineral and slate character at the end. 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc. From biodynamically grown grapes.

James Suckling, June 2020 (Vintage 2019)

This has a really minerally and salty character with a super-refined texture and intensity. Very complex and subtle, exuding length and beauty. Lovely. Class.
