After spending several decades in barrels, these reserves were drawn off in January 2009. The result of intergenerational expertise, these reserves are available to you in very limited quantities. Aged in barrels for 30 years in a natural oxidative environment.

Tasting notes

Intense aromas of dried fruit, candied citrus, vanilla, honey, and chocolate, as well as a taut mouthfeel and a lingering, elegant finish. Pair with cheese and chocolate and hazelnut desserts.

Lauren Buzzeo, October 2019 (Vintage 1979)

Abundant, assertive aromas of coffee cake, caramel sauce, browned sugar, baked Alaska, dried apricot and a touch of earthy funk form the nose of this mature selection. The palate is smooth and toasty, with lots of earthy spice, mushroom and umami characteristics that carry through to the lingering, slightly salty and savory finish. It's hard to resist now, but it still has plenty of time ahead of it.
