Production notes

The grapes are destemmed and vinified in open vats for 4 weeks. After devatting, the wines are barreled in oak barrels for 18 months.

Fresh scents of ripe plum, with bittersweet notes of tangerine and lily. Soft and caressing, it ends with a juicy generosity tinged with chalk, and testifies to the typical drinkability. Pairings with veal chops with morels and red tuna

July 2017 (Vintage 2013)

From one of the rare south-facing vineyards in Beaune, this warm, rich and ripe wine is generous with its spice, smokiness and rounded red fruits. Acidity cuts through, bringing raspberry in its wake. The sense of structure really gives this wine its power and density. Drink from 2020.

Neal Martin, December 2014 (Vintage 2013)

The 2013 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Couchereaux has a fragrant and the most floral bouquet compared to Jadot's fellow 2013 Beaune crus, with touches of orange sorbet and fresh raspberries developing nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly "stringy" tannins at the moment, the acidity nicely judged and showing fine focus on the elegant finish. Excellent.
