William Kelley, January 2022 (Vintage 2020)

The 2020 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Couchereaux (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) offers up aromas of raspberries and plums mingled with hints of warm spices and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, ample and velvety, it's charming and layered—one of this year's over-performers in the range.

Neal Martin, December 2021 (Vintage 2020)

The 2020 Beaune Clos des Couchereaux 1er Cru has a sorbet-fresh bouquet, touches of blood orange suffusing the vivacious red fruit. The oak here is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, gentle grip, slightly darker fruit than the Theurons with a dash of cracked black pepper on the finish. Good potential, but it will require 3-5 years in bottle. Drink: 2026-2042.
