About this winery

It was with the acquisition of Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules that the history of Maison Louis Jadot began in 1826. It took Louis Henry Denis Jadot thirty years to found the House in 1859, and to establish the values ​​of this family business. Product notes

7 climates are entitled to the Grand Cru appellation in Chablis: Preuses, Bougros, Les Clos, Grenouilles, Blanchot, Valmur and Vaudésir. These plots are all located on the right bank of the Serein river, on a hill.

Production notes

After gentle pressing, part of the juice is fermented in double 456 liter pieces. Another part is vinified and aged in stainless steel vats. Aging lasts 13 to 15 months on fine lees before preparation for bottling.

Tasting notes

Gold color with a smoky nose and concentrated on aromas of hazelnut and almond, mango and white flowers. Round and smooth on the palate, still closed on notes of stone fruits such as peach and mango. Persistent on a toasted almond finish. Pairings with sweetbreads, egg meurette and poultry with morels.

Beautiful aromas of honeysuckle and ripe peaches, as well as mango here. This has good concentration of citrus and young stone-fruit flavor. Great, driving acidity. Drink or hold.
