About this winery

It was with the acquisition of Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules that the history of Maison Louis Jadot began in 1826. It took Louis Henry Denis Jadot thirty years to found the House in 1859, and to establish the values of this family business. Product notes

In the northern part of Fuissé and on the edge of the Hameau de Pouilly, the “Tournant de Pouilly” is a one-hectare vineyard in two plots, facing North-East and on a gentle slope. This historic vineyard is located within the 1er Cru “Les Reisses”. This plot selection, just over 60 years old on average, is one of the oldest vines on the estate.

Production notes

Fermentation and aging take place in barrels including 25% new barrels, 75% barrels of 1 to 3 wines for 10 months. The aging continued in stainless steel vats, still with all of their lees for another 9 months.

Tasting notes

Always a little austere and shy at first glance, it is undoubtedly the most "chic" of the plot selections with its chalky touch and its fresh and persistent finish. Pairings with fish and poultry

Neil Martin, June 2024 (Vintage 2022)

The 2022 Pouilly-Fuissé Tournant de Pouilly 1er Cru, which is located in the climat of Les Reisses, has a sophisticated bouquet with crushed stone, orchard fruit and noisettes. The 2022 is pure and quite seductive. The palate is nicely balanced with a keen thread of acidity. It's a little more tensile than the Les Ménétrières this year, with a bright, lightly spiced, persistent finish. EXCELLENT

Allen Meadows, October 2024 (Vintage 2022)

Once again there is a touch of smoky reduction and oak toast that blurs the nuances of the ripe if still cool aromas of white fleshed fruit. The sleeker and slightly finer middle weight flavors exude evident minerality on the very dry and markedly austere finale. I would note that the dryness and austerity are exacerbated by noticeable gas so be sure to decant this if you're going to try a bottle young. Outstanding
