Product notes

Jadot Gevrey Chambertin wines are produced from vineyards lying on the extension of the slope on which the Grands and Premiers Crus are situated. These vineyards vary considerable in quality, and the name of the producer is thus more important here than elsewhere. Maison Louis Jadot vinifies the production of growers with whom it holds purchase agreements based on the quality of the harvest each year

Production notes

The aging lasts about 18 months in the barrels of our cooperage, of which about a third are new.

Tasting notes

Very deep ruby color. Aromas of ripe red and black fruits, spices and animal notes. Silky, robust, tannic and well balanced. Pairings with leg of lamb and beef bourguignon.

William Kelley, January 2023 (Vintage 2021)

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Village (Maison Louis Jadot) offers up aromas of smoky berries and plums, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and unusually giving, charming palate.

Neal Martin, November 2022 (Vintage 2021)

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin village has a superior nose to the Morey-St-Denis Village, with bright red berry fruit laced with undergrowth. The palate is well-balanced with decent tannins. It's fleshy but has grip and purity towards the finish. This is clearly the finest Village Cru from Jadot this year and comes highly recommensded.
