Production notes

Pre-fermentative cold maceration for 12-24 Hours, soft pressing of the grapes, slow alcoholic fermentation conduite at a controlled temperature and subsequent maturation on its lees for several months.

Tasting notes

Bright straw yellow with brilliant golden highlights. The nose is full-bodied and full of character, with notes of ripe exotic fruit, white peach, and disturbing hints of flint. The palate reveals a velvety, warm, mineral, flavorful, enveloping, and balanced body. Pairs well with fish, lobster, and white meats.

James Suckling, August 2023 (Vintage 2020)

This has a nutty character with candied apples, papaya, caramel and pie crust. Full and dense with a chalky, slightly phenolic mouthfeel. Creamy finish with hints of beeswax and walnuts. Drink or hold.

Tamlyn Currin, October 2024 (Vintage 2020)

Bright yellow with a melted-ghee and buttercup nose. Plenty of oak here. Lanolin and chamomile. Bitter lemon and pan cotta. The acidity is long and intense with a definitive mid-line bite. The acidity really carries the wine and goes a way to balancing the slightly custardy, waxy character of the oak. Makes quite a statement.
