Product notes

The Beaune vineyard, located between Savigny les Beaune to the north and Pommard to the south, is the largest in the Côte de Beaune. There are no Grands Crus in this commune, but 42 Premiers Crus. Les sols composés de calcaires bruns, irrégulièrement mêlés d’argile et de sable, participent à la variété des terroirs. Le Beaune 1er cru de la Maison Jadot est issu de nombreux climats dont un grand nombre est vinifié par nos soins.

Production notes

After devatting, the wines are put into oak barrels in our cellars and aged for 18 months.

Tamlyn Currin, December 2023 (Vintage 2017)

Spicy, dry, fragrant and if you wanted a textbook wine to get a hook on Beaune, this would be it. Rosehips and light, breathy traces of smoky tannins. Petrichor, stone dust. Tidy, slim and delicate. Like popping a raspberry in your mouth, straight from the bush. In a really sweet spot in terms of ready to drink right now.
