About this winery

The relative youth of this wonderful Chilean house has its roots in a much older tradition! Departing from St-Émilion Bordeaux in 1892, Emilio Bouchon was the first of his family to plant vines in the Colchagua Valley, but it was only 5 generations later that his descendant Mario Pablo Silva and his father decided to produce their wine under their own label. Product notes

All from the premium sectors of Viña Casa Silva's own estates in the Colchagua Valley.

Production notes

100% hand picked. Hand sorting of grapes both before and after destemming. Pre-fermentative maceration for 8 days at 6ºC. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 10 days at 26°C-28ºC. Post ferment maceration for 6-10 days. Run off and then malolactic fermentation. 60% aged in French oak barrels for 8 months and 40% in stainless steel tanks.

Tasting notes

Bright and intense ruby ​​red. On the nose, aromas of black cherries and prunes with hints of spices. On the palate, tasty: round, powerful, with soft and sweet tannins and balanced acidity. Long finish. Pairings with red meats on the BBQ and empanadas.
