Product notes

The original grape is Timorasso, a white grape variety that has found favorable soils and exposures on the hills around the town of Tortona, in the province of Alexandria, since the Middle Ages.

Production notes

After gentle crushing and a short period of cold maceration, the free-run must ferments at a temperature of 16 to 18°C to enhance the varietal aromas. Aging for several months on lees to improve the complexity and longevity of the product.

Tasting notes

Straw-colored yellow dress. Complex bouquet with floral notes of acacia and hawthorn, and ripe notes of peach and honey. Other mineral and flint notes are highlighted in the finish. Mineral and good acidity with persistence and texture. Pairings with seafood and fish

James Button, July 2023 (Vintage 2021)

From the Colli Tortonesi in the province of Alessandria, Timorasso is a rare indigenous grape which is growing in popularity. This pretty, unoaked example displays plenty of floral verve alongside some waxy and medicinal notes. In the mouth it's buttery and saline; a moreish combination, filled out with spiced apple, white pepper, apricot skin, grapefruit and jasmine. Textured, fresh, sapid and persistent, this is a delicious wine for drinking now or to enjoy several years down the line.

James Suckling, April 2023 (Vintage 2021)

Bright yellow with glints of green. Pistachio, fennel, apricot pith and sweeter stone fruit allusions verge, almost, into the tropical realm. The finish is silty with wet pebbles. Expansive and impressively long. Yet another mid-weighted, apposite expression that does not get in the way with whatever is on the table. Impressive. Drink now.
