The history of Terre da Vino would take quite a chapter to describe, since the Company encompasses more than 5,000 hectares of vineyards cultivated by more than 2,500 producers! Founded in 1956 and formerly known as Terre di Barolo, this cooperative is located in Barolo, Italy, in the heart of the Langhe territory, one of the most famous wine regions in the world. The region is a vast vineyard dotted with medieval castles and hamlets. One example is Verduno, a mansion built in the 1700s, where the modern version of Barolo was born, thanks to the advice of the oenologist at the House of Savoy. Barolo rests in a natural amphitheater, and its main attraction is the Falletti Castle, which since 1982 has brited the Enoteca Regionale del Barolo, as well as an ethnographic and oenological museum. Today, Château de Grinzane is the headquarters of the Piedmont regional wine store. The Barolo appellation alone includes 11 municipalities covering more than 1,800 hectares of vineyards. It is here that the Nebbiolo grape finds its ideal habitat and gives its best expressions. The pride of the cooperative is its cellar and cooperage, a space capable of holding up to 2000 oak barrels in a cellar fully controlled in temperature and humidity. The Nebbiolos room, opened in 2010, is an astonishing refining hall dedicated to large vats, offering optimal capacity for the maturation of indigenous grape varieties. The cooperative also operates an automated bottling and packaging line, carried out in a sterile environment. Terre da Vino offers a wide range, ranging from wines known around the world to locally known products. What unites the range is the philosophy of the cooperative dedicated to its traditions: "Only wines from Piedmont and only appellation wines disciplined by the DOC or DOCG regulations". Terre da Vino is one of the largest Italian vineyards.
