Product notes

Barolo is a great red wine with a venerable history, the qualities of which were appreciated by the famous statesman Camillo Benso, Conte di Cavour. It is produced exclusively from the nebbiolo grape. The vineyards that produced this particular Barolo are located in the best wine-growing areas of the classic production area.

Production notes

Following a traditional and meticulous vinification, the Barolo remains for 2 years in oak barrels.

Tasting notes

Intense ruby garnet color. The pleasant bouquet takes you to notes of violets and dried rose petals, with a spicy touch and aromas of cherry. The full and robust palate ends with a tannic length worthy of the great ready-to-drink Barolos. Pairings with prime rib, braised veal cheek and truffle ravioli.

Jancis Robinson, October 2019 (Vintage 2015)

Pale tawny ruby. Pretty good price for a serviceable example of one of the great wines of the world. Correct and well balanced with a dry tangy finish and really rather entrancing fruit. No need to wait for this. If you’re wondering what the Barolo fuss is about, try this introductory offer from the decent co-op.
