Product notes
Bairrada is an exceptional geographic area with a unique climate and a special terroir, where the clay-limestone soils are dominant. It’s a region of predominantly intensive agriculture, with a variety of crops on small parcels of land, where the vine occupies a pride of place. The climate is Mediterranean-Atlantic, with an annual rainfall between 900 mm and 1,100 mm. The region is mostly flat, with vineyards seldom situated at altitudes higher than 120 meters.
Production notes
Complete destemming, alcoholic fermentation at 28°C and gentle and prolonged maceration. Aging for 9 months in French oak barrels and 3 months in bottle before marketing.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby color. On the nose, a predominance of ripe red fruits with notes of coffee, toasted, mocha revealing freshness and complexity. The mouth is ample offering volume and firm and persistent tannins. Pairings with tajines, meats on the BBQ and charcuterie.
