About this winery

The Château de Fuissé, built in the heart of its eponymous village in the 16th century, has belonged to the Vincent family for 5 generations. Claude Bulland acquired the estate in 1862 for the production of wine, then in 1922, Jacques Vincent-Bulland became one of the co-founders of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. Each generation has set its own milestone, which today ensures international recognition of the quality of Château Fuissé products. In 1948, it was Marcel Vincent's turn to...

Product notes

The plot of Château de Fuissé in the generic Mâconnais appellation is located in four communes, Davayé, Solutré, Prissé and Vergisson. The secret of these great terroirs is often their location and their proximity to the vines classified hierarchically above such as Saint-Véran or Pouilly-Fuissé. The multiplicity of origins offers a beautiful balance to the wine with both a beautiful richness and an excellent freshness and minerality.

Production notes

Some of the vines have been replanted recently, for the other plots, the average age is 25 years. The pressing of the whole grapes is done in pneumatic presses in order to best adapt the pressing to the quality and maturity of the grapes. The wines are vinified in stainless steel vats in order to preserve the purity of the fruit, the floral notes and the minerality. The tanks benefit from a thermoregulation system.

Tasting notes

Light yellow in color with green reflections. On the nose, citrus (mandarin), floral and slightly brioche nuances. The palate offers roundness, freshness and suppleness with a sustained and elegant length. Pairings with scallops, quiche and goat cheese.
