About this winery

The Château de Fuissé, built in the heart of its eponymous village in the 16th century, has belonged to the Vincent family for 5 generations. Product notes

Juliénas is one of the 10 Beaujolais crus among the best. The Domaine de la Conseillère property is ideally located on the eastern slope of the village of Juliénas overlooking the south-facing hillsides. The soils are deeply well-drained and are composed of granite, sand and clay. Château-Fuissé has controlled and managed the Domaine de la Conseillère since 2009 and does everything possible to make this property one of its finest Beaujolais.

Production notes

The grapes are harvested before. Light crushing precedes vatting followed by static maceration while waiting for the natural start of alcoholic fermentation. Towards the end of the alcoholic fermentation (10 days), we separate the free grape juice and squeeze the remaining grapes which will be reassembled, in part or completely, after tasting. Vinification partially in oak barrels without marking the wine.

Tasting notes

Ruby color. An elegant Gamay, with aromas of flowers and tea that perfectly accentuate the flavors of fresh cherry, currant and pepper. Mineral and licorice undertones gain traction on the long, slightly tannic finish. Pair with cold meats, white meats and firm pasta.
