Product notes

This name is common to several villages. It covers all or part of Brochon, Fixin, Prémeaux Prissey, Comblanchien, Corgoloin. The 3.5 ha Le Vaucrain plot was acquired by Maison Louis Jadot in 1996. It is located in the commune of Comblanchien, near the famous 1er Cru of Nuits Saint-Georges: Clos de la Maréchale.

Production notes

The harvest is manual, carefully sorted by hand and then destemmed. The maceration of the grapes takes place in open wooden or stainless steel vats for 3 to 4 weeks. The vats are punched twice a day during fermentation. The aging lasts about 18 months in the barrels of our cooperage, of which about a third are new.

Tasting notes

Silky wine, quite colorful, structured with elegant tannins, presenting aromas of small red and black fruits, also liquorice, then animal aromas as it ages. Pairings with grilled, roasted or stewed red meats
