About this winery

It was with the acquisition of Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules that the history of Maison Louis Jadot began in 1826. It took Louis Henry Denis Jadot thirty years to found the House in 1859, and to establish the values of this family business. Product notes

It is a blend of small plots located all around the Fuissé amphitheater, this wine is the ambassador of this beautiful theater. Planted between 2019 and 1947, a little over 70 years separate the youngest plantation from its elders. The average is 40 years. It is also in one of the oldest vines of this vintage (“Les Vernays” planted in 1955) that the mass selection of the estate is carried out.

Production notes

Vinification of vintages from the granite base in vats, and in barrels for plots from marl and limestone (as well as for our 1st growths from the “Vers Cras” and “Vignes Blanches” climats). Vinification then aging in barrels (or vats) for 10 months, then another 8 months in vats to perfect its coating. Bottling took place in February 2024.

Tasting notes

With a beautiful balance between roundness and freshness, all finesse thanks to a harmonious minerality. An expression of fruit all in subtle notes combining acacia flower, verbena, and fresh notes. A beautiful sap in the mouth, very balanced. Pairings with seafood, grilled fish and fresh goat or cow cheeses.

Neal Martin, August 2025 (Vintage 2023)

The 2023 Pouilly-Fuissé—a blend of 50 plots around Fuissé, about half on limestone soils aged in barrel for 18 months (ten months in barrel and eight in stainless steel)—has a clean, precise bouquet. Though not amazingly complex, it conveys a sense of tension. The palate is well balanced with a slightly tangy entry, fine weight, orange zest and light spicy notes and plenty of sapidity on the finish. Just a delicious Pouilly-Fuissé

Allen Meadows, October 2024 (Vintage 2023)

A mild touch of reduction shaves the top notes from the vaguely exotic nose that is still displays some secondary fermentation aromas. The rich, generously proportioned and solidly concentrated middle weight flavors terminate in a refreshing, lightly warm and lingering finish that could use better depth so a few years of keeping should help.
