Product notes
Redeemed in ruins or almost in 1967, André and Jeanine Chatonnet will gradually restore this vineyard. For nearly 40 years, Vignobles Chatonnet will undergo constant improvements: drainage, replanting, selection of oak barrels, choice of cork for corks, bottling technique at the château, maintenance of an ideal natural temperature, Nothing is left to chance.
Production notes
12 months in barrels (25% new, 65% one year and 10% for two previous vintages) in an underground cellar designed for aging. Yield: 42 hectoliters per hectare.
Tasting notes
Powerful and delicate at the same time, the bouquet combines very ripe red fruits with woody notes left by controlled aging. The cherry comes out in a full, elegant and persistent mouth, with well-integrated tannins. Pairings with roast lamb, red meats and cheeses.
