Product notes

Between Steinbühel and Gottschelle, in the cave ditch, there is a mixture of prehistoric soils of weathered stone and gravel, as well as deposits from the ancient Danube. These younger sedimentary layers, due to their organic origin, bring the finest minerals into play. This characterizes the particular tension of this site.

Production notes

Hand-picked, gentle pressing, natural fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, 3-5 months on lees in large oak barrels

Tasting notes

This Grüner Veltliner impresses with its pleasant fluidity and fresh, fruity notes reminiscent of crisp apple. A hint of pepper adds a spicy and captivating touch, while the lively acidity gives the wine a pleasant freshness. Pair with fish and seafood

James Suckling, July 2025 (Vintage 2024)

Crushed almonds, honeysuckle and nectarines on the nose, followed by a medium-bodied, bright and minerally palate with excellent concentration. Creamy and textured, while retaining racy acidity. From organically grown grapes. Drink now or hold. Screw cap.
