About this winery

André-Michel Pierlot moved to Tours-sur-Marne in 1812 as a Champagne wine merchant. It was in the village, on the plots called Les Plaisances and La Tour Glorieux that he founded what would become Maison Laurent-Perrier. His son Alphonse will succeed him, but the latter having no descendants, he will pass the estate on to his cellar master Eugène Laurent. When Eugène Laurent died prematurely in 1887, his widow, Mathilde Émilie Perrier took over the reins of the company and added his...

Product notes

Laurent-Perrier has always favored Chardonnay as the majority grape variety in all of its Cuvées and has been a pioneer of the Brut Nature category since 1981 with Ultra Brut. The House had to carry this grape variety through a Cuvée; only the Coteaux de la Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs planted with Chardonnay have been selected and picked at perfect maturity with low acidity to enter into the Blend of this Blanc de Blancs.

Production notes

A perfect balance between the wines of the year and the reserve wines must be achieved before placing in the cellar. After ideal aging in our cellars, disgorging is carried out without dosage.

Tasting notes

A white dress with a fine and persistent effervescence. A mineral nose with citrus notes. After a lively attack, this wine expresses itself in the mouth with a very balanced presence to finish with a very fresh, very lemony finish. Pair with scallops, striped bass and Comté or goat cheese.

James Suckling, September 2019

A dense and flavorful chardonnay with creamy texture and flavor. Lots of citrus and grapefruit and very vinous. A blanc de blancs with weight yet freshness. Pure chardonnay with no dosage. A new wine. Lovely finish. 40% 2009 and 60% 2012. Drink now.

Alain Lebel, December 2023

William Kelley, April 2019

A new cuvée from Laurent-Perrier, the inaugural NV Blanc de Blancs Nature represents the first time this house, for all its emphasis on Chardonnay, has ever released a blanc de blancs. Offering up aromas of citrus fruit, green apple, oyster shell and warm bread, the wine is medium to full-bodied, lively and precise, with a bright spine of ripe acidity and a delicately chalky finish. It's a blend of the 2012 and 2013 vintages with reserve wine from 2009, and chef de cave Michel Fauconnet told me that he had sought precision from the Chardonnay of the Montagne de Reims and texture from that of the Côte de Blancs.
