About this winery

The Château de Fuissé, built in the heart of its eponymous village in the 16th century, has belonged to the Vincent family for 5 generations. Claude Bulland acquired the estate in 1862 for the production of wine, then in 1922, Jacques Vincent-Bulland became one of the co-founders of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. Product notes

This wine is a blend of about twenty "Climats" (approximately 40 parcels): the production and composition of the POUILLY-FUISSE Château-Fuissé "Tête de Cuvée" is based on the taste and structural complementarity of the different terroirs of Pouilly-Fuissé and reflects the geological diversity of the appellation.

Production notes

The winemaking process, using oak barrels (60%) and vats (40%), is chosen according to the character of each plot.

Tasting notes

Simply a top-tier nectar! Almonds, hazelnuts, white flowers, a buttery, creamy, and mineral character... What complexity and what a range of flavors! It's superbly crafted with such precision. At the price of a village appellation, you'll find a bottle worthy of a Grand Cru! Pairs well with sweetbreads, salmon tartare, and scallops.

Allen Meadows, October 2024 (Vintage 2023)

Discreet though still easily discernible wood influence surrounds the fresh and more elegant aromas of mostly white orchard fruit and just grated lemon zest. There is impressive volume and mid-palate density to the sappy and solidly powerful medium weight flavors terminate in a citrus-tinged finale. This is quite good and worth considering.
